Tickets are now available for the 24 Hours of Lemons’ second HooptieCon, a celebration of not-yet-automotive-classics, never-will-be-vehicular-classics, and classic car blunders. HooptieCon West takes place March 9 at Sonoma Raceway as part of the 24 Hours of Lemons’ Sears Pointless, Confusingly Presented by Yokohama Tire.
HooptieCon West includes car shows from Radwood (‘80 and ‘90s cars/culture), Billetproof (old-school hot rods), Concours d’Lemons (weird, oddball, and unloved cars), Gambler 500 (Offroad challenge in $500 vehicles), NorCal 02 Club (BMW 2002s), Fiat Club of America, and more cars on display from other assorted clubs and groups in the area. The festivities also include post-race parade laps on the racetrack, which makes for a motley assembly of fantastically odd vehicles in an impractical place.
New for this year is a Lemons paddock “cruise in” after the parade laps. Chief Perp Jay Lamm (above) will lead the festivities in cruising cool street cars and pit bikes through the paddock after parade laps. So look forward to hanging out with your bitchin’ paddock whips and some cool people in the Lemons paddock. Here’s the full schedule for the day:

9:30 AM LEMONS RACE Begins
10 AM CAR SHOWS START
3:30 PM RADWOOD AWARDS
4:30 PM LEMONS RACE Ends for Day
5 PM PARADE LAPS
