A LEMONS-GRADE TOUR OF THE AUTO INDUSTRY AND ITS REMNANTS.

Domestic vehicles all get 50 extra points at the rally start.

DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, THIS RALLY MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS LEMONS RALLIES.

Participants will be expected to follow these guidelines:

•Maintain six feet of social distance from anyone not on your team.
•Wear masks in indoor public spaces. You may also be required to wear a mask during Rally registration or Concours d’Lemons at Griot’s. Masks optional but strongly encouraged outdoors. Always follow all local mask rules and CDC guidelines. Short version: Bring a mask.
•Stay home if you have symptoms.
•Tell Lemons officials immediately if you have symptoms on site.

DAY 1 (FRI, JULY 23): CHICAGO, IL > DETROIT, MI

OPTIONAL, INFORMAL DAY-BEFORE-THE-RALLY MEETUP FOR OVERACHIEVERS: Thursday (ie before the rally starts) Gary SouthShore RailCats baseball game @ 12:10 pm CT in Gary, IN. We’ll be in section 101 or 102.

PRE-RALLY HOTEL RECOMMENDATION: Find a hotel you’re comfortable with in Northwest Indiana.

LAUNCH SITE: Parking Lot B of U.S. Steel Yard (Gary SouthShore Railcats’ baseball stadium), 459 Virginia St., Gary, IN. (Shows up on Google Maps as “Southshore Railcats Parking Lot B”)

Recommended Hotel: Holiday Inn Express, 15100 Beck Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

End of Day Meetup: Make it no later than 6 pm to the Detroit Bus Company (5938 Linsdale in Detroit) to hang out. You have the option of an awesome guided tour from the DBC; score tickets for that here.

DAY 2 (SAT, JULY 24): DETROIT, MI to CLEVELAND, OH

Recommended Hotel: Comfort Inn Downtown, 1800 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115. Please notice: Downtown hotels include some additional parking costs.

End of Day Meetup: Mason’s Creamery, 4401 Bridge Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113

Note: This day will start at the Michigan Concours d’Lemons at the Inn at St. John’s, 44045 Five Mile Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Your car will be part of the show (no need for additional registration). Relax for a bit, enjoy the crapcan atmosphere, and then get a sendoff during CdL’s awards ceremony with plenty of daylight left.

DAY 3 (SUN, JULY 25): CLEVELAND, OH > PITTSBURGH, PA

Estimated 250-330 Miles

FINISH LINE: 6 pm on Grandview Avenue atop Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. Additional details to come in the Route Book.
