Rally Details

PLEASE NOTE: THIS RALLY IS CAPPED AT 25 ENTRIES.
Update: We're sold out. Sorry, folks.

While Alaska is (very) large, many of the accommodations are quite small. The first 25 paid entries will be in the rally, after which entries will be stopped. This is to say: You can register and then get email updates for registered teams, but you won't be entered officially until payment.

Because of expected higher operating requirements for Lemons, the entry fee per vehicle is correspondingly higher.

PLEASE READ IN FULL AND ASK US ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE ENTERING:

GENERAL WARNING: Alaska is wild and untamed like no other place we've rallied. That means it's exciting and amazing, but it can also be dangerous. Please prepare accordingly with a good paper guide (The Milepost books are great) and paper maps.

ENTERING A VEHICLE: While not exhaustive, the basic ideas are drive it up, rent it, buy it, ship it, or borrow it. You'll get points for any/all of these in the normally fluid, capricious manner that goes with Lemons Rally judging. Do your diligence on what is required for these options. You will still need valid registration and insurance, no matter what.

CAMPING: There will very likely be an evening where the recommended (though obviously not required) accommodation is a campground, but in general, camping is plentiful in Alaska and you can camp every night if you want. Life will be much easier for you if you have camping gear and know how to camp, but there are always non-camping options available.

FERRY RIDE: The route tentatively includes a ride on the Whittier-Valdez Ferry. It is tentative because the 2023 ferry schedule has yet to be released, but we expect it to be an optional (though highly recommended) part of the route. This is not an insubstantial expense—the cost is per car plus each passenger—so plan for it. We will provide a non-ferry route as an alternative, however.

We'll have updates to these items as we finish plans, please check back for updates.

Thanks to Julian and Domenic Cordle for their unending help and patience with us as we work on this.

Email eric@24hoursoflemons.com and rally@24hoursoflemons.com for questions.

Added bonus points, optional stops, and other site-specific weirdness will probably be shared onsite. It's not like we're terribly organized.

This is a long roadtrip! Bring plenty of tools, water, and anything else you might need at the side of the road.

See the Lemons Rally Homepage for more deets about scoring, vehicles, and who you can yell at.
